JAEP becomes an independent charity

We are thrilled to announce that on 28 November 2016 JAEP became an independent charity. Our charity number is 1170414. We will of course still be able to claim gift aid on all applicable donations.

We are very appreciatiative of all the help and support we have received from YMCA Norfolk since JAEP began in January 2007. We have held a bank account within YMCA Norfolk since we began, this has enabled us to claim over £15,000 in gift aid since 2007

The sale of Christmas cards in 2016 raised over £800. Huge thanks to all our supporters who bought cards. We sold over 4440 cards, all of which really helps to raise the profile of JAEP.

£800 almost funds one young person to attend Al Quds University for one year

It is very pleasing to report that JAEP has financially supported twenty two young people to gain an undergraduate degree. Also pleasing to report is that over £106,000 has been donated from individuals and organisations. More information can be found under the projects tab

JAEP financially supports five more young people from Dheisheh Camp

JAEP has offered scholarships to five more young people from Dheisheh Camp:

Laith in his second year of a four year nursing degree. His father died four years ago. He works as a casual labourer to fund some of his studies

Nada is also in her second year of a nursing degree. She is married with two children. She feels nursing is important because of the number of injuries sustained by the Palestinian people

JAEP has raised over £100,000 since forming in January 2007

JAEP has reached an important milestone, raising over £100,000 and financially supporting seventeen young people to study for a degree, since its creation in January 2007. 

 

Huge thanks to all our many loyal supporters. Special thanks to two extremely generous donations of £15,000 and £10,000.

Continued thanks to all who support us with a standing order, this enables us to plan further ahead. Standing order donations, including gift aid have raised more than £19900 and enabled us to financially support five of our seventeen young people.

 

JAEP receives a £10,000 donation

JAEP are thrilled to announce that we have received an extrememly generous donation of £10,000.

This donation will also be used to financially support a young person from Dheisheh to study for a degree in medicine at Al Quds University.

The duration of the course is six years.

We are pleased to announce that Norwich Cathedral are selling JAEP notelets £2.50 for a pack of 5.

The inside has been left blank for your own message.

 

Thank you for supporting the sale of JAEP Christmas Cards.

We are pleased to report that the cards made a profit of £909. This will enable us to fund one young person from Dheisheh for one year of study. 

 

 

JAEP receives a £15,000 donation

We are thrilled to announce that JAEP has received a donation of £15,000. The donation will be used to financially support one young person from Dheisheh to study for a degree in Medicine at Al Quds University.

The duration of the course is six years.

Norwich Cathedral continues to financially support JAEP

We are very pleased to report that Norwich Cathedral continues to support JAEP. We have recently received the second donation of a three year commitment. 

Huge thanks to the cathedral whose donations have enabled us to financially support seven years of university education for Dheisheh young people. 

 

Three more young people from Dheisheh have received funding from JAEP

Three more young people who live in Dheisheh Refugee Camp in Bethlehem have received funding from JAEP.

Ramzi who is studying sports. He volunteers with the IBDAA basketball teams

Marah who is studying for the health professions. She volunteers in the Womens Centre in Dheisheh, and also in the IBDAA childrens library

Malak who is also studying for the health professions. She helps Dheisheh children with learning disabilities and also volunteers for the Diabetic Friends Society
