19 May celebration of the 10th anniversary of JAEP at Norwich Cathedral 19 May 2017

Dheisheh Camp
John and Jijad

19 May saw almost 100 people (JAEP supporters and 2017 Diocesan pilgrims) gather at Norwich Cathedral to celebrate the 10th anniversary of JAEP. Bishop Graham our patron spoke about the project during the service. Followed by supper in the refectory and presentations in The Weston Room. Beginning with a film about the background to and impact of The Balfour Declaration on 2 November 1917. The film set the context for reflections from Anne Aves about the achievements over the last 10 years of JAEP, raising over £113,000 enabling 22 young people to be financially supported to achieve a degree,  and exciting plans for the future.  The evening ended with two of the returning 2017 diocesan pilgrimage party giving their reflections of the pilgrimage, which had been lead by Bishop Graham. The pilgrims had visited Dheisheh Camp, one of the young men taught by John had been their host.

Thank you to Bishop Graham for hosting the evening
