Impact of legacy on number of young people we can fund from September 2019

JAEP is currently reviewing applications from the young people of Dheisheh to study for an undergraduate degree from September 2019.
We have received a record number of applications.

Receiving a legacy in April 2019 means we can:

fund more students for the next academic year
increase the amount of funding for the more expensive courses, i.e. Medicine and Dentistry increase finding from $3000 to $6000
increase the number of local universities we work with

April 2019 a big month for donations!

April has seen significant donations:

Al Quds University

Anne Aves (JAEP Chair)has just returned from her seventh visit to Dheisheh from 28 October to 7 November 2017. Joining her were another trustee, a member of Norwich Cathedral, and a JAEP benefactor. The purpose of our visit was to spend time with JAEP students, their families and the teaching staff at Al Quds University. We divided our time between Dheisheh and the university. At the university the group joined the young people for some of their classes, spoke to their tutors and reviewed their assessed work.

Since January 2007 JAEP has raised £151019

JAEP success with funding from Quaker Peace and Social Witness (QPSW)

JAEP has been successful in securing £15,000 (£5000 per year for three year) funding from QPSW. We received the first £5000 in May 2017 and second £5000 in May 2018. We're thrilled, this level of funding enables us to fund more young people from Dheisheh to study for an undergraduate degree at Al Quds University.

Our project has featured in the most recent Quaker News, see page 11!
