Mission and Objectives

The JAEP mission is to help young bright Palestinians from the Dheisheh Palestinian Refugee camp to complete a university education. The intent is that they in turn can help their families and people overcome the economic, social and environmental challenges that are prevalent in the Camp.

The primary objective is the advancement of education for the public benefit by offering undergraduate grants to disadvantaged young people from Dheisheh Palestinian Refugee camp in Bethlehem who demonstrate academic and community achievements but whose financial and social situation hinders them from pursuing undergraduate study within Palestinian universities. The long-term objective is to broaden the range of courses studied, partner with other universities and increase the number of students that are assisted.

JAEP provide scholarships to bright and disadvantaged young people to fulfil their potential and continue their education in their own communities. - The Project works with universities in the Holy Land to identify deserving students from Dheisheh Refugee Camp capable of making a positive impact.

JAEP usually contributes towards the student's university fees for the duration of his/her study after they have successfully completed the first year.
