Students

JAEP financially supports young people from Dheisheh Palestinian Refugee Camp to study for an undergraduate degree at local universities. Students apply for funding through their university website by completion of an application form, online. Shortlisted students are interviewed by Zoom.

We have funded young people to study at Al Quds University in East Jerusalem from 2011, from September 2019 we have also funded young people from Dheisheh to study at Bethlehem University.

As of September 2023 we have funded 78 young people, 59 girls and 19 boys.

Once the student has received JAEP funding we continue to fund for the duration of their course. Degree courses range from 4 - 6 years.
